I’ve been asked to remodel a very special outfit that a precious little one has grown out of. Understandably his mother can’t bear to part with it, so we’re going to give it a new life as a very dashing outfit for Barnaby Bear.
The outfit is sized for a 6-12 month-old and is far too large for Barnaby, so there will be a fair bit of adjusting to be done. I haven’t attempted a project like this, but there’s a first time for everything and I’ll document it here in case you’re interested in doing something similar.
I’ve begun with the easiest part – taking up the cuffs of the pants. I’ll be adjusting the waistcoat length and width as well as the shirt width and the bow tie. Bow ties are cool.
Wish me luck!
